SUMMARY: Throughout the whole of Syria, the survivors of the extensive family of the Omeyyades have been hounded for months, following the dethroning of the Omeyyades by Caliph Abu-al-Abbas. Now, only the young prince Abd al-Rahman has escaped the massacre, but the emissaries of the Caliph are fast approaching, and on this fateful night it is time to flee. Taking the fastest and most handsome thoroughbred in all of Syria, the prince strikes out into the desert. It is the start of a merciless chase.
